  17. Hi all,
  18.   I was have been working on a personal project since January (when time 
  19. permits) and I have notice over time I have created a lot of surface names!
  20.  
  21. I am now just starting to come up with a name convention that *I* can 
  22. understand and that I need to shorten the names a bit because of how 
  23. may surfaces I have (150+) and be able to use the ALPHABETIZE LIST in 
  24. LAYOUT as well.
  25.  
  26. Question:  Is there a macro, or utility that I might have missed that I 
  27. will be able to chance a SET of surface names to another?
  28.  
  29. Example: OLD way -->  BATHROOM-Shower-Curtain
  30.                       BATHROOM-Shower-Rod
  31.                       BATHROOM-Shower-KNOB
  32.  
  33.   New way -->         BthR-Shwr-C
  34.                       BthR-Shwr-Rod
  35.                       BthR-Shwr-KNB
  36.  
  37. ... and so on.

  39. Or, do I have to go thru the WHOLE list of surface and rename them one by 
  40. one?  If I end up doing that I will chalk this as a 'lesson learned'. :-/
